Juicing

Wonder if I have actually got away with not talking about how the Farmers' Market is going, how much veg I'm producing, how well the herbs are selling...and now, on top of glossing over the distinct lack of kitchen garden activity, I am thinking of turning over my garden to Juice. It you can't eat it raw, or put it through a twin-gear, then I am beginning to wonder what is its point. I salvaged a bed of chickweed recently, detested by conventional gardeners, even digging up the potatoes so it could flourish further (Grandad Breen turning in his grave).

I think this is part of the madness that overtakes when Rawsome arrives. Fortunately I am not alone, with a few similarly off the wall local friends spiralising courgettes for dinner too ('Ooo, I made a triclour one last night with beetroot and carrots!' - but more on that another time). And that's not counting my new global raw friends. I never fully understood the online community thing, but now I totally respect how it brings together people of niche passions, across all ages and nationalities (don't yawn). Really. It may even have birthed a fabulous event here in late September but that's a secret for now.

One photo just doesn't seem to be enough these days...
